Covid Christmas

Well, this Christmas didnt quite go as planned! The weekend prior to Christmas found Tyler and I feeling a bit under the weather. Given the wedding and upcoming holiday, we decided it was best to get tested. Tyler’s test turned out positive so that left us quarantined over Christmas. While being quarantined over Christmas wasn’t what we envisioned, we are so thankful for this extra time we had together. We didn’t have the hustle and bustle associated with the holiday- the kids just got to hang at home and play with some new toys!

Santa treated everyone well and they can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with our extended families! It’s just a much longer drawn out holiday for us this year!  I was especially glad that Christmas Day was a beautiful day so we could spend some time outside with grandmas and grandpas! The kids got a couple toys they could play outside with, so it was perfect! They have since taken over the garage and it becomes an extra playroom!

They had been anxiously awaiting the day they could build gingerbread houses!

They each got to buy gifts for each other!

They have handled this quarantining business like champs! They’ve gotten along so well together, it’s almost scary. I’ll forever be thankful for our days at home together.

Carter was not having our picture taking on Christmas. What a bah humbug!
