Covid Christmas

Well, this Christmas didnt quite go as planned! The weekend prior to Christmas found Tyler and I feeling a bit under the weather. Given the wedding and upcoming holiday, we decided it was best to get tested. Tyler’s test turned out positive so that left us quarantined over Christmas. While being quarantined over Christmas wasn’t what we envisioned, we are so thankful for this extra time we had together. We didn’t have the hustle and bustle associated with the holiday- the kids just got to hang at home and play with some new toys!

Santa treated everyone well and they can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with our extended families! It’s just a much longer drawn out holiday for us this year!  I was especially glad that Christmas Day was a beautiful day so we could spend some time outside with grandmas and grandpas! The kids got a couple toys they could play outside with, so it was perfect! They have since taken over the garage and it becomes an extra playroom!

They had been anxiously awaiting the day they could build gingerbread houses!

They each got to buy gifts for each other!

They have handled this quarantining business like champs! They’ve gotten along so well together, it’s almost scary. I’ll forever be thankful for our days at home together.

Carter was not having our picture taking on Christmas. What a bah humbug!

Mr. & Mrs. Timmerman

We had a great time celebrating Kendyl and Tucker a couple weeks ago, 12-12-2020!  The kids, and us too, had been anticipating this day for many months! We weren’t sure we were going to be able to celebrate a marriage like we usually do, but thankfully the virus settled down enough that they got the day they had always dreamed of!

We had lots of fun prepping with nails and hair and all the girls things 😁

Harper and Harlow loved getting pampered for the big day!

Everyone performed their duties during the ceremony! Carter wouldn’t carry his sign, despite a bathroom pep talk from Harlow! He was worry that people would laugh at him, Harlow reassured him that “people laugh at me and I don’t care”.  She is such a sweetie.  Harper played a perfect bridesmaid and even gave a little speech at the reception!

It was a perfect day, for a perfect couple! Minus a few covid cases 😁 more to come!

Home Sweet Home ❤️

After a much anticipated 8 months, we are all moved into our new house! We really couldn’t have asked for a smoother process! And our biggest argument was over curtains of all things!

We had the best friends and family helping us get moved! By the end of the day, all the boxes had been unpacked and put away. We are so grateful for their help!

So far, there isn’t much we would have changed with the house or the design! It’s crazy how something can feel so right, so fast. The kids have adjusted great to being in the basement and loving that they all have their own rooms!

We can’t wait for all the new memories we can make in our new home!

The girls got new bedding from Grandma and Grandpa! Carter’s is on its way! Harper got a new bed and Harlow upgraded to a big bed!

October fun!

These kiddos had a great time trick or treating! Of course, it was a super windy day but that didn’t stop them! A week later and we’ve barely made a dent into their stash!

In other news, hopefully a month from now we will be moved into the new house! It’s coming along great and we are all very excited! Mom happened to get some pictures of our paint day!

The big wedding is right around the corner! We are so excited to celebrate Kendyl and Tucker! We celebrated Kendyl a couple weekends ago! The girls were rockstars at presents!

Fall fun!

How can we be in October already?!?! This fall has been a busy one! The house has come quite a ways and left us with some projects! We’ve gotten all our painting complete, cabinets are in, siding is almost done! Sod got placed in the front yard as well! It’s been so fun to head over every night and see what progress has gotten done! We are all getting very excited for the big move and to make this house our home! The kids loved helping paint their rooms, but with all that craziness- I forgot to take pictures!

So far, all of our choices are looking good together! Hope it continues!

The kids have been busy as always! Carter has been a soccer star and Harper has really improved in her reading! She was quite excited for her first chapter book this past week! He’s loved playing and scored 2 goals the first game!

They just HAD to dress up for Homecoming and join in the fun!

We ended last week with a much anticipated trip to the pumpkin patch! They have been waiting weeks! We had a fun afternoon with the Stelling Crew!

We ended the evening by picking out their Halloween costumes! Stay tuned!

8 years old?!?

Last week, we celebrated Harper’s 8th birthday! ❤️❤️❤️ I’m not sure how our sweet, people pleasing girly can be this old already?!?! She has made this parenting thing easy! She is such an artistic and creative girl- not sure who she got it from because it wasn’t her parents! She’s always the first to get up in the morning, but always with a happy attitude!

We are so beyond blessed with this girl! We celebrated with grandmas and grandpas on her birthday! We couldn’t find many emoji decorations so she took it upon herself to make a banner!

Kendyl, Harper and I had a little girls day on Saturday! We treated her to her first of many pedicures! Her day was complete with Subway for lunch and Culver’s for dessert!

First Days of School!

The kids finally had their first days of school last week! Harper started 2nd grade on Thursday with Mrs. Bahr! She was so ready to go back! The Coronavirus has led to a new set of challenges in school, but she’s been making the best of them! We just pray they get to spend all year in school and we don’t have to navigate through home schooling.

Carter started 4 year old preschool on Friday! He has been patiently waiting and counting down the days!  He now goes all day long, 3 days a week! He’s grown so much in the last year, it just rubbed this mama a little wrong on my drive to work after dropping him off.

We can’t wait to watch these two blossom this year! Harlow started daycare on Friday! She definitely has missed playing with friends!
