Last taste of summer

The kids had the best summer with Lillie, like always! We are always so sad when her last day rolls around, she is very much appreciated by all of us!

Lots of time was spent with these boys this summer!

Harper and Rylan got to attend a volleyball camp put on by some Husker players!

Lots of fun on the river! And camping!

Grandpa got the 4- wheeler fixed!

Harlow had a full day of production choreography! This will be the first year Dance Bright is participating in this dance style, Harlow is the youngest dancer in this group! We can’t wait to see how it comes together!

Week off fun!

We got home from sate softball on Sunday and Tuesday, we headed out of town again. This time, we headed east to Adventureland. None of us had been before, so we were excited to see what it was all about.

Harlow braved the big rollercoaster with Ty and I. She had tears on the way up, by the end liked it but she wasn’t itching at the opportunity to go again.

Harper got a picture of all of us!

We hit the water park and had fun there! Our hotel was right across the street, so we could just walk to the park each day. The lines were super short, many times we could get off a ride and get right back on!

We enjoyed our get away, but after being gone for state softball and having such a short turn around, everyone was ready to be home.

We ended the week off fishing at Docs pond. Harlow was killing it- barely getting her cast out before she had another bite! She tallied like 18 fish for the night, but said she had equal amounts of bug bites. Saturday we helped celebrate Kennady and Keaton’s wedding!

State Sotball 2025

Harper’s 12u team went to state softball in Hastings. They had lots of fun prepping for the weekend! We had a braiding party the night before! They rode on a float for the town parade!

The team went 3-3 for the weekend. There were some tough loses, but we were so proud to see how hard they played- leaving their hearts on the field. It’s definitely harder to be at state softball as a parent compared to a player all those years ago, but so many great memories made!

Jordy Bahl, a great pitcher for Nebraska was at the cutest shop in Hastings!

Harper had great games and really hit the ball well! Probably earning the most improved player of the year award! She finally had a great, head first slide during the last game. We were so excited as this was something she struggled with all year but watching her attempt sure gave us some good laughs 😂

Her sportsmanship really shown through during one of the games. She was saying encouraging words to the pitcher as she was at bat and then after the game, went and gave her a hug and pep talk. ❤️ it’s times like these that remind us we are doing an okay job at this parenting thing!

We have the best supporters for our kids! Kelsey made the trip from Colorado which made it extra sweet. Grandma, grandpa and Kendyl enjoyed watching from home through the app!

4th Boating fun!

To celebrate the 4th, we headed to Calamus lake on the 5th. Kearney and Collins were there camping with his family so we invaded their fun!

A fun, long day on the lake was had! We only wish it was a little closer so we could visit the lake more often!

Happy 8th Birthday Harlow!

How can our baby be 8?!?! Harlow is wise beyond her years. She’s the first to lend a helping hand, so good with all the little kids, loves a good book and has determination that is going to take her far in life. She’s been focusing a lot on her solo that she has for dance, we are excited to see how she does!

She had a few requests for her birthday- sleeping in and Cheddars pasta! Girl knows how to sleep!

It ended up raining on her birthday so we couldn’t do fireworks, but we enjoyed “Ganseboom” the weekend before!

The future is bright for this girl and we can’t wait to see where she shines!

Happy 10th Birthday Carter!

How can he be 10?!?! The years have sure flown by. His birthday falls in the heat of summer sports, which of course he loves! Baseball claimed to be his favorite sport at that time!

We hit a College World Series game a few days early to avoid game day conflicts. These boys had lots of fun and luckily for us, the shade just made it to our row It was a toasty day for a game!

We had to stop at his favorite, Chick fil A to top off the day!

He had a game on his actual birthday, and there was no other way he’d have wanted to spend it!

Grandma killed it in the cake game, making a strawberry cake as requested. We are so proud of the kiddo he’s turning into. He’s the first kid to show his appreciation, loves a good sporting event, and still has the softest heart. He’s turned into quite the sous chef in the kitchen!

He told me, “ if he’s not playing a sport, watching a sport or playing a sport on his Xbox- he’s just not comfortable”. There are lots of sporting events in our future, watching him is one of our favorites!

Harper Softball

Harper played on the 12u team this year. She came quite a long ways from the start of the season to the end. She started really hitting the bats at the end! It was a fun season! She contributed a lot at 1st, also playing some left and right field.

The league tournament landed on Father’s Day, but I can assure you there is no other place Tyler would have wanted to be! While districts didn’t go how they wanted, they turned it around for the league tournament. The girls battled back hard in the losers bracket and came out with a second place trophy!
