Vacation Day 5

We packed up early and hit a cave on the way home!  The kids enjoyed the cave we went to last summer,
So they were all in for a cave! We hit the Wonderland Cave, going down 145 steps to get into it.  It was neat!

We then started the trek home! They did do well on drives, but we were happy to be home!

Vacation Day 4

We saw the sites this day, visiting Mt. Rushmore and Sylvan lake. Carter enjoyed the faces, while Harper said she expected a little more. They were troopers on our hike around the area.

Ty caught a crawfish in the water!

Hard to see in the picture, but the kids and Tyler hiked to the top of a bunch of rocks for this one!

Vacation Day 3

Our third day found the guys and a couple kids up early to hit the lake, while we let the sleeping beauties sleep for a bit longer. We rented a boat on Lake Pactola for the day! What a beautiful, clear lake where you could see so far down! It was plenty chilly, but that didn’t stop the kids! Everyone had a great day catching fish, cliff jumping and tubing!

We were on the lake until 6, so we were exhausted when we got back!

Vacation Day 2

The kids really wanted to side by side, so we started our day with that! It was soooo dirty! I was not prepared for the amount of dirt 🤪.  We found lots of rocky trails, but made our way to Custer Peak.

Outside of being very dirty, almost losing my phone, and Tyler getting stung by something- we all had fun!

After a bit of relaxing, we made our way to the Deadwood Days of ‘76 rodeo! The kids had been waiting for a rodeo! They all had fun!

Blacks Hills Vaca Day 1

We decided we would team up with the Stellings for our summer vacation this year! We haven’t been to the black hills since Harper was 2, so it was time!

We had a leisurely trip out, stopping to do a little shopping and going through the badlands. The kids did some climbing but man it was a warm one out there!

We got an air b&b to stay in, and every morning and evening you could see deer coming for the salt block! They were so fun to watch, definitely a highlight for our early riser Harper!

Harlow turns 7!

How can our baby possibly be 7?!?! She is 7, going on 17 🤪. She’s got quite the sass, which fits her well on the dance floor. Dance is life for her! She is always dancing around, always practicing. She is such a great big cousin always helping with the littles!  She makes friends with everyone, young and old!

She requested no-bake cookies for her birthday, so that’s what she got!

Always posing! And lost a tooth in Colorado!

Merritt Lynn ❤️

One of the most exciting events of summer to date  was the birth of Kelsey and Kearney’s 2nd daughter was born on June 10th, Merritt Lynn ❤️. She is such a sweet girl and we were so lucky to get to spend lots of snuggles with her!

The girls and I flew out on a Sunday and the boys came out later in the week for fun! I have created baby hogs…the girls stole way more snuggles than I was able to! We all enjoyed the relaxing time, much needed after our busy June!

Collins and Harlow have a special bond! Harlow is just so good with her!

The girls enjoyed a movie while later in the week the boys golfed. We all went for a day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and shopped Estes! This is one of my favorite places to visit, and a necessary stop for ice cream was had!

Way up at the top of the rocks is the kids, Tyler and Kearney. You can’t seem them well, which freaked me out! They love climbing the area!

The kids were jacked for snow again! You would have thought we didn’t have any snow this winter the way they acted.

We all loved our time spent with the Lackas’. It always goes by so fast!  The kids rocked the drive home, only driving us nuts the last 45 minutes 🤪.
