First Days of School!

The kids finally had their first days of school last week! Harper started 2nd grade on Thursday with Mrs. Bahr! She was so ready to go back! The Coronavirus has led to a new set of challenges in school, but she’s been making the best of them! We just pray they get to spend all year in school and we don’t have to navigate through home schooling.

Carter started 4 year old preschool on Friday! He has been patiently waiting and counting down the days!  He now goes all day long, 3 days a week! He’s grown so much in the last year, it just rubbed this mama a little wrong on my drive to work after dropping him off.

We can’t wait to watch these two blossom this year! Harlow started daycare on Friday! She definitely has missed playing with friends!

Pool Party Fun!

Way back in July, we celebrated the kids’ birthday with a family pool party! We’ve been spoiled this summer with Nana and Papa’s pool, so we had to use it for the birthday party!

It was a perfect day! Not too hot, not too cold! The kids are loved by so many, so there wasn’t a lack in presents!

We’ve definitely loved all the pool time we’ve gotten this summer!

Uncle Kearney popped the unicorn, so a pineapple cake in its place!

We can’t wait to make more memories in the pool!

Mountain Vacation!

Throughout the midst of all this Covid craziness, Uncle Kearney won a 3 night stay in the mountains! Initially we said we probably weren’t making a trip to CO this summer, but how could we turn down a deal like that!

To top off our trip, we were able to gets flights super cheap- so the kids got their first flying adventures! And they loved it! Flying was definitely their highlight of their trip!

The kids also got to get an up close look at the cock pit!

They were traveling pros by the time we got home! They also became pro mask wearers!

We had a great long weekend getaway! Lots of hiking, fishing, shopping and even an ER visit. Harlow came down with a UTI and with no urgent cares open, our only option was to take her to the ER, definitely not what this nurse/mom had in mind. Thankfully it was a fairly quick and painless process, that is until we got the bill 🤣

We rode the Gondala up the mountain in Breckinridge and rode some alpine slides! The kids loved this! Harper especially loved the ski lift ride to the top!

On the way back to Longmont, we checked out a gold mine! Thankfully the mine had a ton of little rodents or the kids would have said that part was a bust!

We had a great trip, definitely one that the kids won’t forget! They are so excited to fly again!
