Blizzard Jaxson!

Last week, we had a huge blizzard hit! We had sooo much snow fall, thankfully it was only one day! 18ish inches fell in our area. We ended up losing power for 3 hours on Monday! The kids just couldn’t understand why we couldn’t turn on the lights! I was starting to get chilly in the house, so it was definitely welcomed when it returned! We did manage to get in a few games without the power!

The kids love the snow! I thought Carter might still be a bit iffy with it, but he has loved it as much as Harper! The love playing in it as equally as they do eating it! However, I think Miles is the one who loves snow the most! Having a dog in winter with snow is no fun! I think he’s learned his lesson and isn’t running through it quite as much as he was initially.

Harper learned the hard way that its best to avoid with wind in blizzard conditions- this was even after was significantly less windy.

Carter loved helping daddy snowblow!

There is a huge pile of snow at the end of Mom and Dad’s road! The kids and Kendyl couldn’t resist!

On Saturday, after much trial and error, we went sledding behind the 4-wheeler! Once we got Carter and Harper to go, they loved it! It definitely brought back some memories of our childhood fun!

Carter slang!

Here are a few more of Carter’s phrases that crack us up!

We have two vehicles in the garage. Carter refers to them as “the Honda one” and “the Chevy one”. Since we got “the Honda one” last year, Carter loves it! Every time we leave to go somewhere, he is always asking if we can take “the Honda one” and when we don’t he usually does a sigh because we aren’t taking it. Every time.

Another phrase we frequently hear is “hold you me”. Since he’s been able to talk and put words together, this has been on of his sayings. It’s hard to say no when that cute voice asks “hold you me Mom”!

1/2 a year?!?

How can our sweet Harlow be 6 months old already?!? These 6 months have been pure joy! We couldn’t have asked for a better baby and better adjustment with the older two!  They just love her so much, it melts my heart!

She is now 17 pounds 6 ounces (73%) and 26 inches (55%)!  We recently started cereal and she got her first taste of green beans tonight- she wasn’t terribly impressed with them.

She is sitting like a big girl! She absolutely loves her baths! She loves to splash and will turn her head to drink the water- definitely taking after the older two and their love for water!

She is starting to push herself up on her arms, she can get all turned in a circle! I’m sure it won’t be long and we will have a scooter on our hands- this will be a huge adjustment for the older two- one that no one is looking forward to! We have way too many little things around these days!

Her favorite thing is to chew on tags! Her favorite toy might just be her birk! She is always throwing it around or chewing on it. We’ve started making her cry a bit in her crib- it breaks my heart but having to lay her down 2 and 3 times before she will stay asleep is starting to get old.

We are so beyond blessed with this perfect little girl! She has just made our family complete ❤️

(Backup) Merry Christmas!!!

We had such a fun, busy, joyful Christmas! We had lots of celebrations along with so much food and so many presents!

We decorated cookies for Santa with Aunt Kelsey and he did not disappoint on Christmas morning! Harper had some pretty fancy decorating skills!

We had got to spend all day Friday with Kelsey and Kearney! We had a blast! Harper is learning all the ropes when it comes to playing Uno!

Of course, one of the favorites about Christmas is seeing all the cousins! It’s quite a crew when you get all these crazies together!

Everyone looked great in their Christmas best!

Harper loved that she and Harlow matched!

We had a great Christmas! It’s so much cummotion but we wouldn’t have it any other way! We can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for us!
