Christmas 2018!

What a blur of 10 days this has been, but we have had so much fun celebrating Christmas and all the joy that comes along with it! We’ve had some great family get-togethers- our children are exhausted and our house is disastrous! Christmas is such a magical time when you have children to enjoy it with ❤️

Our three kiddos after church! They did such a great job at the program! We were afraid Carter’s shy personality would shine, but not at all! They had been practicing their lines and hand play all week and it showed!

Our two sweet girlies!

Our best attempt at a family photo!

I’m such a blessed mama! Of course Harper insisted Miles be in the picture!

Santa did not disappoint! While he didn’t bring a “real life unicorn,” he left the perfect letter explaining why! This giant stuffed unicorn was for sure the next best thing!

Carter has been playing with his “basketball guys” since he’s gotten them! He is constantly playing basketball! Santa scored big on that present!

We forgot to take a picture of Harlow with her new baby, but she also loves her stuffed unicorn!

Speaking of unicorns, they were a huge hit at our house this year! Everything seems to have a unicorn!

Harlow especially loved presents! Not so much opening presents, but handing out presents and rearranging presents- it was pretty cute!

We’ve had a great time with aunt Kelsey and uncle Kearney being back for the New Year’s! The kids have had a great time playing games, which they got plenty of for Christmas! They also had a fun time baking and decorating cookies! Harper is quite the decorator- watching her baking shows certainly showed! Her and Grandma Ingrid made an awesome cake for Kendyl’s birthday as well! She designed it all herself, just needed a little help with execution from Grandma!

Crazy to think that another year has come and gone. It truly is amazing how fast they go by. We’ve had a wonderful 2018 filled with love and adventure! We can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for us!

Christmas?!?!

Here we are, 5 days until Christmas! I can hardly believe how fast the time has been flying by. Well- we had a great Thanksgiving filled with lots of food and family! Just the way we like it!

Our December has been a busy one!  Our elf Eddie made his way back from the North Pole. The kids had been patiently waiting his return and were so excited when he appeared! One of the first things they do each morning is try to find Eddie!

The kids got to pay Santa a little visit a couple weeks ago! Harper was the only one who sat on Santa’s lap! I’m afraid Santa may have a bit of a challenge fulfilling her wish of a “real life rainbow unicorn”.

Carter got somewhat close to Santa- only close enough that Santa could hear what he wanted “basketball guys!” Last night and tonight, Carter said he doesn’t want Santa to come to our house!

Harlow was also not a fan of Santa, but we made her take a picture anyway. We assume she would like a baby doll from Santa!

Harper had her school Christmas concert Monday and did a great job! She knew all the words and did great with the actions!

This is the only picture I took of the night- mom fail! Darn it!  She was a super cute snowflake! While she’s done a great job with school, this Christmas break is definitely needed! She’s had a fun week of school with a crazy sock day, pajama day and an ugly sweater day!

The kids have been having lots of fun with holiday decorations! They also got to make some ornaments at the library!

Our Christmas celebrations started a couple weeks ago with a Gansebom get together and last weekend with a Craft get together. The kids are counting down the days until more celebrations!

Busy bees!

We’ve been rather busy lately- doing what exactly, I’m not sure :) just thought I’d give a little update on all the kids! We had a snow last week and they all got to go outside and play!

Harper had her progress report sent home today. “She is a rockstar”- we knew she would rock at this kindergarten thing! She’s doing great in school! She’s sounding out words and reading little books all on her own! She has amazing handwriting for her age especially and can draw much better than her parents!  She taming down her girly tendencies- hug giving, waiting for friends, talking too much :)  we are so very proud of her and all she’s learned already this year!  She’s always excited to go to school and always comes home in a good mood!

Harper and Carter are doing a tumbling class in Randolph. They both love it! It took Carter a couple times to get over his nervousness but now he jumps right in!

Carter had been busy at the farm frequently with harvest. He has lots of opportunities for farm time- which he loves! He’s now been playing farm a lot more at home and even found a game on the iPad that deals with harvesting and feeding animals!  We’ve been working on his letter recognition and writing on my days off. He’s definitely impressed us with his ability to color- he’s pretty good at staying in the lines!

My phone seems to get hacked often and I find lots of pictures like this!

Miss Harlow... this little lady has developed quite the personality! She’s a lover and a hater! She loves to acknowledge anyone who comes home with a big ol leg hug! She definitely loves her puppy- he puts up with so much from the 3 of them but he’s soooo good with them! She’s taken her puppy skills and is now using them on humans to get them to come to her when she wants, with a good ol pat on the leg!  She’s recently discovered a step stool and all its handy uses. She’s still not afraid to use the chompers if she gets angry! She’s getting pretty good at pointing to her body parts and is starting to do some animal sounds.  She loves to dance and play pat a cake- she especially loves the “roll it”. She’s officially bottle free and her hair is coming in! She loves to pray!

We are so blessed with the kids and still amazed that they are actually ours! We thank God everyday he entrusted them to us! They keep us busy and on our toes!

(Backup) Halloween

We had a perfect night for trick or treating! The kids all love Halloween! Carter even placed second in the Halloween costume contest at the hospital, his rodeo clown costume was a hit!

Harper insisted on being a black cat, a cat that loves to chase mice! Unfortunately, the mouse didn’t put up much of a fight because she was feeling under the weather.

The kids scored well in the candy department!  What a fun night it was!

Such a fun group of crazies!

Of course, we had to pain pumpkins again! Harlow took the job very seriously! By the end, she might have had just as much paint on her as the pumpkin did!

(Backup) Last day in CO!

The snow gave us a great excuse to hit the pool and the kids never oppose a good pool! They have a great Rec center in Longmont! Carter loved going down the big slide! I’m certain we will have to visit again when we are out!

Of course there was lots of UNO to be played along with some other games! We can’t wait to visit again- the next time they will be in their new house! We love our trips to Colorado and we love the people we get to spend time with!

More of CO!

I’m having trouble posting photos, so these posts have to be a bit shorter and it seems to work ok. So... anyway.

We had beautiful weather while visiting! We hit a couple parks and played outside one day! That night the kids painted pumpkins! They couldn’t wait!

It snowed quite a bit overnight and the kids loved seeing snow again! Harlow was all about eating the snow, just like her big sister!

She carried around a cup of snow all morning and when it was empty- Harper was quick to fill it!
