Christmas fun!

The kids got the chance to see Santa again. Carter still remained less than impressed with the white bearded man (or in this case, cream/brown ;). He says he wants a tractor, and Harper would like a Baby Alive!

Harlow didn’t seem to mind him- she hasn’t quite reached the- stranger danger stage!

We had a great surprise on our doorstep last week- a package from Santa! It had letter for each kid, along with reindeer food and magic snow! They loved the surprise!!!

I attempted to take pictures for Christmas cards, they didn’t turn out exactly how I envisioned but they are still cute! I have intentions to take another one to send but time is quickly passing me by this year!

We had to make some Christmas goodies with Nana and Kendyl! They kids loved helping! Carter especially loved the peanut butter!

Harper had her Christmas program on Sunday! She did great with her speaking parts and songs! She prepared for it all week and has been practicing lots at home!

Catching up!

What a busy few weeks we’ve had! We had a great Thanksgiving with family, the kid’s highlight was that Grandma got a new puppy! They love playing with her!

Miss Harlow Rae is 5 months old! She is growing like a weed! She can now roll over from her back to tummy- she hasn’t done it a ton this week. I think she’s figured out that she’s stuck on her tummy when she does, which she isn’t a huge fan of! She’s got a cute giggle, when you can finally get her going! She’s starting to take longer naps which is nice! She loves sitting in her jumper and is such a drooler! She constantly has something in her mouth, birks, fingers- anything she can get in there!

We got to enjoy one last nice day a few weeks ago- the cold certainly hit this week.

Fun in CO!

The weekend before Thanksgiving, we made our way to Colorado to visit Kels and Kearney! On the way out, we stayed in Kearney at a hotel! The kids loved being able to swim and go down the slide!

We had a great time with lots of games, shopping and hanging out! The weather was great!

Carter came up with quite the way to hold cards!

We played a countless number of Uno games- a game that brought back lots of memories of playing with great grandpa Green!

They love going to the park just down the road from their house.

Carter loved this cow wall at a restaurant we ate at!

We had two major highlights of our trip! We went to Georgetown and rode the train! It just so happened that Santa was on the train ride! He was a great Santa and had quite the long conversation with Harper! Carter was not having Santa.  It took quite a bit of work on Santa’s end just to get a high five and knuckles from Carter! The train ride was beautiful- it had snowed the night before!

We also got to go hiking, Harper absolutely loved it! She would have hiked all afternoon but Carter didn’t enjoy walking as much as we had hoped. We saw a bunch of deer- the kids loved that!

We had a great time, as usual! We made this trip home in one long day. We had to stop in Broken Bow and catch up with everyone there! After Harlow screaming the last 1.5 hours, we were beyond ready to be home!

4 months old?!?

I can’t believe our baby girl is 4 months old! Harlow is such a good baby- most of the time ;) she can occasionally have a cranky evening and nothing seems to satisfy her- I usually chalk it up to a day when she hasn’t slept much. Of course, she usually does it when Dad is on solo duty!

She weighed in at 15 pounds 4 ounces (70%) and 25.5 inches (87%)- we compared her to the other two and she is right between them!  Poor pumpkin had to get 2 shots and to top it off she had her first ear infection.  Looking back she was maybe a little crankier but certainly not anything to make me think she had an ear infection.

We got flu shots the same day for the older two! Oh boy- talk about drama! Carter went first and did okay- a few tears were shed of course. Harper was crying shortly after Carter got his shot. She was kicking and screaming when they finally got her into position for the shot, so bad so that Tyler put his hand on her mouth- but the minute she got stuck with the needle- she stopped! Apparently decided it wasn’t so bad after all! She made sure to tell the ladies at the front desk that the shot “wasn’t worth crying over.”  It was comical :). They had fun playing at the mall when it was all said and done!

Harlow is so close to rolling over. She’s had help a couple times from big sister and brother! She loves to be in her “sit me up” chair and see what everyone is up to. She still isn’t the best napper, but better then she was. She is growing just as attached to her “birks” as the other two are! Bath time remains her favorite time!

She continues to bring us so much joy! We love watching all the kids together and seeing how the older two interact with her! They are oh so sweet!

Big Weekend!

We had quite the big weekend! Harper and Carter got to experience their first Nebraska Huskers game!  I think overall they had a great time! They did so much better than I anticipated they would! Carter loves to watch “huskers” on tv!  We lucked out and all got to sit together- Uncle Alex got to join too!

Harlow turned 4 months on Saturday! How can that be?!?! She has her check-up tomorrow!

She is our happy girl!!!

Happy Halloween!

It was a chilly night, but that didn’t stop the kids from getting lots of treats! Carter wasn’t quite ready to quit when the rest of us were even! He made sure to sample quite a few things when we got home!

Harper moved her Rainbow Unicorn outfit! And Carter was torn between a cowboy and horse, but the horse was much warmer!

Miss Harlow got to hang with Nana and Grandma!

They had a great time trick or treating with the crew!

Love them so much!
