9 months old!

Our little man is already 9 months! He got to celebrate by spending a few days with nana, papa, Kendyl and Cece while Ty and I went skiing with his family in Colorado- we love the mountains!
It was so hard to leave those two, but after the past few weeks with sickness- we were ready! We also got to see Kelsey and Kearney so that was fun!

Carter is standing against everything and getting pretty brave about barely holding on.
Anytime he hears someone go downstairs, he always finds his way to the gate to greet them back! Big sister is usually quick to get there and move him- she thinks she needs to carry him lately (doesn't seem to faze her that he is practically as big as she is).
He still hates baby food, but eats about anything he can pick up himself! Mr. Independent!
He loves balls! Tonight, he grabbed his bat that was on the rug and when he hit it on the floor, he realized he didn't make much noise so he made his way to the wood floor- we were pretty impressed!

He just finished another round of antibiotics for an ear infection and in the past 2 weeks have dealt with fevers on and off. We see an ENT next week to determine if he needs tubes. Despite not feeling great the past few weeks, he still is fairly happy most of the time! I'm hoping the tubes will help our sleeping situation- this mama is tired of getting up twice in the middle of the night! Here's to hoping the 9th month of life for Carter is a healthy month!!

Sioux Falls Fun!

Quite a few weeks ago (I'm way behind blogging-oops) we had a weekend getaway in Sioux Falls! We had a bunch of family together for a weekend of swimming and outside fun! Saturday we had fun shopping for prom dresses! The workers at one of the stores thought Harper had to have a little fun as well trying on dresses!

We spent the afternoon swimming at the hotel! There was a slide that Harper had tons of fun going down! Ice skating was in store for the evening! We all had fun for the most part- until papa hit his head pretty good! Let's just say I don't think any of us are made for it!

On Sunday, some of us hit a little ski slope while others got to sled! Harper got to sled down plenty of times! She loves the snow, so I knew this would be a hit!

Thank goodness we didn't have to walk back up the hill!

We had a great weekend with family. Carter topped of the weekend by pulling himself up all by himself!  He was so proud- there is no stopping him now!!
