7 months old!!!

We have a 7 month old as of Tuesday- insert balling mother here :( :( I can't believe my sweet baby is already that old.
This past month has been a busy one for our little guy! He is now army crawling and starting to pull himself onto his knees. He loves to push his butt up in the air and get into all of sisters stuff! Nothing is safe in our house anymore!

We've been playing with baby food over the past month and Carter is not a fan of that game! He hates baby food! This was his facial expressions from applesauce the other night.

So many faces!

The other day we tried peaches, he wasn't a fan of the first 2 bites and refused any after that. Harper wanted to try it, so I fed her a couple bites. After watching big sis eating, Carter opened his mouth big and wide again so I shoved a spoonful in- he instantly started bawling once he got a taste! It was quite funny to Tyler and I but he had had enough after that!

Whoever said life is boring with kids?!?!

Miss Independent

Last weekend, we headed to Omaha. Unfortunately this was probably one of our last trips to Kels and Kearney's house. We said our good-bye's to Kearney on Sunday, as he left to start his new job in Colorado. Don't get me wrong, we are excited for him but a bit sad they won't be a quick car ride away. However, we are quite excited for visits in Colorado!

On Sunday, we made a trip to Gordman's. We were in the kids department, which is right beside the bathrooms. Of course Harper had found a pair of Paw Patrol pajamas that she thought she had to have! (On a side note, we got her a paw patrol shirt for her birthday that I can not get her to wear, but she is a pajama loving girl!) Anyway, before I knew it Harper was nowhere to be found. I kept yelling for her, finally I heard a "I'll be out in a second mom"-it's then that I figured she was going to the bathroom. She also doesn't like us to go to the bathroom with her much lately. She then kept saying "I'm almost done mom, don't come in."  When I heard that, I figured she was up to no good! When I opened the door to the bathroom, there she was shoes, socks and shirt off. When I asked what she was doing, she replied "I'm trying these jammies on, I think they are just my size!"

Well we ended up getting the pajamas. She loves them, after wearing them for 18 hours three days in a row, I finally got her to take them off so I could wash them!

6 months old checkup!

We finally had Carter's 6 month checkup! He is topping the scale at 19 1/2 pounds (77th percentile) and 27.5 inches (72nd percentile) atleast he's proportionate! He is ahead in development- gotta try and keep up with big sister now!

The past few days he hadn't been quite himself and woke up with mattered shut eyes, so I wasn't surprised when Dr. Gebhardt said he had an ear infection.  We've gotten very lucky and this is the first time he's been sick! Must be those antibodies from breast milk!

I have to take a second toot my own horn! :) this is just part of my stored breast milk supply! I've been blessed with having no problem with my supply! I love being able to satisfy all his needs!

Anyway, a 10 day course of antibiotics and hopefully we will have our happy boy back!

Harper made she the doctor knew it was only Carter getting shots yesterday- he also got 4 immunizations. She is certainly not shy when it comes to him or his nurse she was very talkative. He does a great job including her in the appointment!

Happy New Year!

We had a great time with friends on New Year's Eve! Harper was so excited for her friends to get here, I told her they'd be coming after nap- needless to say she said she was ready to nap at 10:30 :)  The kids all played great together and all 6 of them were up at midnight, the babies included!

On New Year's Day, we took a trip up to Yankton to go swimming at the Summit Center! I love that the pool is zero- entry and Harper loves the slide! She was a little daring for my liking- she was walking up the steps and going down the slide all by herself! This was Carter's first time swimming, he didn't seem to mind it one bit!

Such a ham!

 My 3 favorites!

On Saturday, we took advantage of the weather and minimal wind, and hit the hill at Skyview Lake! Harper loved sledding! She didn't love walking back up the hill. She would have kept going had Tyler and I kept carrying her up the hill!

Army Crawling!

We have a mover! Carter is army crawling all over the place and someone isn't very happy about it! I'm sure you can guess- Harper!!! She is not a fan that little brother can easily attack her things! We are often hearing "Carter" and she'll even pull out his middle name occasionally. Oh the love of a brother and sister :)

He's even managed to get from his stomach to a sitting position a couple times this weekend. Our baby is just advancing a little too fast for this mama :(.
