12 Month Stats!

Harper had another check up yesterday and she is officially 19.9 lbs (30%) and 30 inches tall (79%). We have a tall and skinny girl as the doctor said!

She was not impressed with the visit at all but other then 4 shots and a finger poke all went well! Her iron level was normal so we can now start transitioning to vitamin D milk! I'm afraid this might be a bit of a challenge :)

We had Harper's pictures taken the other night along with a few family pictures. She would not leave a headband on to save her soul and was not happy with us when we went outside, which is so not like her but it was so hot and humid that evening. I think we still got some cute ones tho! I'll be sure to share them when we get them!

Someone decided to get into the toilet paper this morning while I was painting my nails....she thought it was pretty funny!

Happy 1st Birthday Harper!

Wow! How fast a year can fly by when you are having fun!
It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our newborn home to our tiny 2 bedroom house in Broken Bow.

(I had to post a picture so Harper would know what her first house looked like. It will probably be my favorite house we live in!)

I've done a lot of reflecting about our life the past year and I wouldn't change a single thing, unless of course I can make time slow down a little!  Harper is growing into her own little personality each and every day!

I love everything about that little girl. I love waking up to talking over the baby monitor and her always having a smile when you get her out of her crib. I love that she now thinks she has to hide food beside her in the high chair if she doesn't like it. I love the mess on our living room floor every night when she is done playing. I love the excitement on her face as I'm getting the DVD player ready so she can watch Baby Einstein. I love that she rolls her ankle when she is getting tired. I love the way she dances to music and blows kisses when you are least expecting it. I love that everyone comments about how big her blue eyes are. I love seeing the joy she brings to everyone. I love that she is the center of attention. I especially love the silly faces she makes!

I love being her mommy and I know Ty loves being her daddy. We have the perfect life with the perfect little girl! Happy Birthday Harper!!

Happy Anniversary to us! When we had Harper everyone said that you will never have your own day and you will always be celebrating a birthday, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Future iron chef?!?

Doubtful, but she has loved playing with a pot and spoon all week! Those two simple things have brought her hours of entertainment :)

She has also learned that she can climb into things, like her toy box and book crate! If only she could figure out how to get back out!

Big birthday party is this weekend!!

Birthday party!!!

Today we had a birthday party for our little Harper girl!!!
She is definitely loved and got spoiled rotten!

Thank goodness we had Adalyn to help open presents!

Grandma Ingrid made an awesome cake to celebrate!

She was a little nervous when everyone was singing "Happy Birthday".

She wasn't a huge fan of her smash cake :) and required a bath right after!

Addie enjoyed the smash cake a little more then Harper!

It was a great day filled with lots of fun and family!!

Love dove!

This past week, Harper has really stepped up her lovin! She is much more willing to give kisses :) she even managed to bite Ty on the lip the other morning when she was giving out her kisses.  Today while visiting gaga, I told her to blow a kiss, and she did it without even prompting any hand gestures! Pretty sure everyone's heart was melting that was in the room.

Her personality is coming out more and more everyday and it is so fun! I could just watch her play and interact with people all day!

She was such a good girl while camping this weekend. We took her car of course and she played hours on that thing. In and out and in and out! She was getting pretty daring by the end :)

She wouldn't get in unless the fruit snack bag was in her mouth, silly girl!

She wasn't afraid one bit of the bug her daddy tried to get her to eat :)

she has also been loving playing with her ball! She is definitely a Gansebom!
Tonight she had a ball playing at the edge of the driveway getting dirty!

Can't believe a week from today we will be having a birthday party!

She's back!!

After a fever for 3 days with fever blisters in her throat, 3 days of antibiotics for an ear ache and rounds of Tylenol and Motrin our little Harper girl is back to herself. She more then made up for her lack of attitude the past week with her little attitude today :) she was quite the pistol while shopping and at supper tonight, but she was very good in church this morning-although she slept the whole time. Already knows what is good for her :)

We had an exciting weekend celebrating Papa Paul's birthday Friday.  Saturday was the memorial golf tournament for Uncle Mark so Harper got to hang out with grandma and grandpa Gansebom and got a visit from great grandma Helga!

We have finally finished the big home improvement project and it looks so much better! Just so we don't have peeling paint in the spring again!!

Harper also cut her second top tooth this last week. Tyler is convinced that she is going to have big top teeth :) I have to admit that they do look a little large, it will be interesting to see what they look like when they are completely in. She isn't a ton closer to walking, but she did get a kick out of pushing her train today on her knees.

I am very saddened to say that our baby doesn't like to be rocked to sleep much anymore. Today she just laid on the floor and fell asleep.
Tonight I thought I would rock her rather then laying her down right away and she was bucking like crazy until I finally put her in her crib. Guess its time to face the facts that our little baby is growing up :(

Another tooth!!

Harper finally cut her first top tooth! We were hoping the longer the better because apparently then they have a less chance of problems later on?!? That would be nice! Ty and I both had braces, so it's not looking good :(. Her poor bottom teeth are starting to look a little brownish from the iron drops that she has to take, which apparently is a side effects them them. Hoping after her 12 month check up we can stop those! On the up side, she does like to brush her teeth!!

We had our first color run this weekend in Osmond. Harper missed out on the paint, but her and Bristal were the youngest participants! I still think of her as a baby, until she is next to Bristal and then she seems more like a toddler :(. I don't think I'm quite ready for what's ahead, I just want my baby to stay little a little while longer :).
