9 month stats

Harper had her 9 month check up today! She is 19 pounds which put her in the 55th percentile and is 29 1/4 inches which puts her in the 95th percentile for height! We have a tall and skinny baby!

She screamed every time I had to lay her down (weight, height, putting her clothes on) but didn't shed one tear when they pricked her finger for an anemia check. Turns out she is slightly anemic so has to have iron drops twice a day. We are dreading this because she is less then cooperative when it comes to taking medication. They will recheck at a year, so hopefully we can go off the drops then! Until then, she needs to stay on breastmilk or formula, luckily we have a freezer stocked full of breastmilk!

We finally got her little car put together that she got for Christmas from grandma and papa, she loves it!!

Our 9 month old!!

Little miss Harper turned 9 months old yesterday. Seems like these months keep going by faster and faster :( soon we will have a birthday to celebrate.

Over the past week or two it seems like she is definitely soaking everything in and learning something new every day. She now can wave bye-bye and gives pretty sloppy kisses :) It melts my heart when she gives them without us even prompting her. The other day she was caught standing in her crib :( she is just growing up too fast.

This was her yesterday morning watching a Baby Einstein video and munching on a few Cheerios while daddy was trying to sleep from a rough night and mommy catching a quick shower after work. She was pretty relaxed. She loves,loves, loves watching that video. We haven't quite figured out what is so exciting about the video, but we love hearing her high pitched squeals when she is watching it!

Days off

I have the next few days off, so excited to spend lots time with my little lady! I think dad is pretty excited too after the last few nights ;)

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mom's! I got to spend all day with my special little lady and Ty. I definitely wouldn't have had it any other way. I never could have imagined how much joy being a mother could bring. She is definitely the "light of my life". I thank God every day that he chose me to be that precious baby's mommy!

I never would be the mother I am without my mom. She has probably taught me more then she will ever know about being a mother. I hope I can be as great a mom to Harper and any other future babies as she is to me and my sisters. I hope that Harper and I can have the close relationship that my mom and I have.

Now that Harper is all over the place crawling, we have learned you can't leave anything on the floor :) she will certainly find it.

She loves to play with our rugs! Especially the kitchen rugs because she has no problem getting to the anti slip gripper underneath the rug :) she doesn't have such an easy time with our big living room rug.

This silly little dog is her favorite toy so I had to post a picture. This was a Christmas present from Lyv and Addie. She also has a love for her teal colored burp rags which none of us can understand but they keep her occupied for quite some time. These aren't the eat pictures, but you get the idea :)
